Let’s Celebrate Shavuot with Dancing Cows

We will be celebrating Shavuot at the end of the week.

One important aspect of this holiday is the special food we eat… cheese cake, ice cream, blintzes, etc.

These are all made with dairy (milk products) and since most of the milk that we use comes from cows…

Let’s draw cows, happy dancing cows!

Here is a step by step drawing guide to help you along the way. It is a good idea to practice on a scrap paper and try out different positions to help you figure out the best dance move for your cow.

There are many different types of dairy cows including:

Jersey cows

Brown Swiss

Ayrshire

Guernsey

Dairy Shorthorn

and Normande to name a few;

but the most easily recognized are Holstein cows because of their big black patches, soft pink noses, and gentle eyes.

They produce milk with less fat content which believe it or not makes the best ice cream.

Now that we’ve learned a bit about them…let’s make some art!
